Happy November to everyone! I'm starting off a new month with my very first challenge for Hodge Podge, and I'm excited by this challenge! I hope you are, too...and are excited about the chance to win a GC from Peppermint & Pamela Donnis!
The boys and I love to play with words, and do a word a week for our school, where we learn a new word and use it as much as we can. I realize that words have impact and evoke strong emotions, and I want the boys and I to have a broad range of words to help convey our feelings and thoughts in positive ways! And after watching a Youtube edition of Inside the Actor's Studio with James Lipton and Hugh Laurie (he's one of my not-so-secret TV must-see's), I was inspired by James Lipton's questionnaire, which includes, "What is your favorite word."
So I challenge you.....scrap YOUR favorite word or phrase, whether it's shizzle, darn, warm, Mom, flubert or Oh, Snap! (technically that's 2, but we'll let you slide with that one.)
Here's some inspiration for you!

JOURNALING: Has to be my favorite word, favorite emotion, favritesecurity blanket, favorite verb. Not only does it define theDivine who loved me so much, but also the wonderful feelingof knowing that there are 3 people here on this earth who love me, in spit of myself - and it’s something that will not change.

Journaling: The word “first-born” means so much more to me now than it ever did. I was my parents and grandparents first-born. They always told me that I held a special place in their heart being the first-born and I never really got what that meant until I had you. From the moment we knew you would be joining our family, I experienced new things with
you. You were my first child that I loved so completely and unconditionally. Now when my grandparents or parents say “first-born” to me, it means so much more because of you. I hope you come to the knowledge that I did...that being a first-born child and grandchild is a special thing and that you do hold a special place in my heart, and always will. I love you Bryleigh!

So let's see what YOUR favorite word is!!

And now for last week's winner.....BushGirl
I can really relate to the relationship here, as my youngest has his own issues with being the youngest. I liked the small touches that made this perfect..the frowny face, the image of her son in the background, the date in the journaling..all great touches! Please email me @ djbfontography at gmail dot com to claim your gift certificates!
Have a great week, everyone!
