Journaling: I had been wanting orchids for the longest time, but things
just kept getting in the way. No place to put them, and then we were
moving. But once we got settled in the new house I went out and finally
got them. I just love the way they look in front of the window. August

Journaling:
You are our oldest child. You came first. You broke us in, taught us
how to be parents. We learned everything about babies on you. I guess
you were sort of our little guineau pig. We really couldn’t have gotten
luckier with a first child. You slept through the night early, potty
trained early. It will be interesting to see how your oldest child
status shapes your life, and since your daddy and I are also the oldest
of our siblings, it is neat to see you interact with your little
brothers as the big sister. I think they are 2 lucky little boys to have
you as their big sister!
