Hello! Michelle here bringing you the next letter in the alphabet: M!
Before we get started with this week's inspiration, let me say congrats to our winner from last week: gandcsmama! I will admit I was drawn to her layout because I share her same dream of visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Ahhhhh . . . my wildest muggle dream!
Ok now back to reality! This week you are playing for gift cards from Gina and Jacque. Here is what the Hodge Podge crew did with the letter 'M':

Grimm to Hans Christian Andersen to Wagner. She writes at great length as well about what these stories meant to the people of the day, and that it was an era obsessed with children's stories. Not just with adapting and creating new ones, but in reading them and discussing them. You can see in the world she simultaneously evokes and documents the seeds that would later sprout into Tolkein, and indeed (although he never appears in it) the book ends shortly before Tolkein's first writings were published.
