Happy Journaling Prompt week! Traci here with this week's thought provoking inspiration.
I remember the day I found a stack of papers in my mom's big jewelry box. They were photocopies of all kinds of family history documents. That's when the desire to know where I come from was born. Since that time, I have joined websites, spent hours in libraries and latter day saints history centers, written emails all over the world (and have even flown to Ireland, New York, New Jersey...), and called to bug anyone who might have a tidbit of information that would open a new door in my quest.
I think the family actually started to turn the other way and pretend they didn't see me when I pulled out my little pen and notebook or my tape recorder for interviews.
We sat with our kids on St. Patrick's Day and talked about our Irish ancestors, which led to pulling out photos and those old photocopies and led me to renew my membership at ancestry.com where I spent a few days doing research.
And here we are. I want to know where YOU come from. Not your whole family tree, but a tidbit, a nutshell of a branch, any information you want to share that tells us where you come from.
This week we're playing for goodies from Michelle and Kate!

** Hey there! Michelle popping in to reveal that Kelleanne is our winner for last week's 'D' challenge! I really enjoyed her journaling and adorable story. Congrats Kelleanne! I'll be sending your prize along shortly. **
Hello. These are all very interesting. I just started searching my father's side of the family a couple months ago. Eventually I hope to do some layouts like these.
Please tell me what Lori Davison kit the little birds came from. I have several of her kits but don't recall having those adorable birds.
Thanks !
