Goooooooooood morning Hodge Podgers! Traci & I are extra-excited this week because we've gone ahead and given the place a lil' makeover. New banner, new blinkie for you to grab and oh, what's that?? NEW HODGE PODGERS! I know you know 'em but let me quickly introduce these two AMAZING scrappers right now that round up our team of two to a nice happy team of four!

HAPPINESS - what does it mean to you?

This week I want to get away from the 'fluff' and dig a little deeper. I want you to scrap a person who makes you totally & completely happy. You can be having the worst day yet talking with this person (or people) brings a smile to your face. Maybe you butt heads every now and again but you know that no matter what, you can count on this person to bring you joy & comfort when needed. You'll know you've chosen the right person to scrap if you smile & get the warm fuzzies while you think of them!

On your layouts this week, make sure you use the following:

- a photo of the person you are scrapping
- a quote pertaining to the topic of happiness / being happy
- a butterfly (patch, felt, stamp, brush, etc)

Hey artists!  I'm getting "deep" on you this week!  I love art inspired challenges but really never did them because I overthink them.  So just look at this for a few and let yourself be inspired.  And I picked the rainbow colored painting just for Gina :)

 

What do you see or feel when you look at this?  Maybe it reminds you of a happy memory, makes you feel something or you love the colors.  Or is it the composition?  Whatever it is, be inspired to let it influence your next layout.

Hey Hodge Podgers! Gina here with a brand-new challenge for you! I thought Traci would want to join me this morning as I posted but she blew me off for a Pina Colada in the pool. Or was it a Bahama Mama? Anyway... hrmph I say!

First, a thank you to ALL who take the time to participate in our challenges every week! And now, some fresh inspiration!

THIS WEEKS' HP:

We all have a body part (or two!) that we're not crazy about. Maybe it's that baby belly we can't seem to shake (meanwhile, the "baby" is now 5...) or our feet that our ginormous (speaking from experience here ladies!) BUT there's that part of ourselves that is amazing. You know the one.... maybe it's your perfect hair or your gorgeous baby blues.... You probably haven't scrapped it yet because well, it feels funny to scrap THOSE things about ourselves. I say, "so what?!" I am challenging all of you this week to scrap that one fantastic part of your body, the one where you giggle under your breath because hey, you know you've got it goin' on!

Broaden your color perspective!

Hey Podgers!  Traci here with this week's inspiration while Gina, the new Croc queen, is taking sweet pictures of her little boogers in their sporty kicks.  So I was checking out my gallery the other day and noticed a plethora of certain colors - how boring!  So I decided to force you to scrap out of my color rut with me! 

You know those colors you love?  Yeah, those.  The ones you seem to be drawn to on your last 5 or 6 layouts?  Forget about them.  You can't use them.  Go through your goods and find a new palette.  Freshen it up and be re-inspired by some new hues!

 

My last 8 layouts have some sort of pink/blue/green thing going on.  And I need to broaden my color perspective!

 

The rules:

You can't use any colors that have been used in your last 5 layouts...did you use orange in the last five?  It's banned! LOL!!!
