Goooooooooood morning Hodge Podgers! Traci & I are extra-excited this week because we've gone ahead and given the place a lil' makeover. New banner, new blinkie for you to grab and oh, what's that?? NEW HODGE PODGERS! I know you know 'em but let me quickly introduce these two AMAZING scrappers right now that round up our team of two to a nice happy team of four!
Emily and Angela (Powers, that is!)
That means you'll always have fresh, inspiring layouts to check out from the four of us EVERY week (well, unless one of us needs a vacay or spa day or whatnot) PLUS we'll still be searching around for a couple of guests to add to the weekly line-up. Fun, huh?
Speaking of guests, here are my three for this week:
Thanks so much for joining us girls! And now, onto our latest:
HAPPINESS - what does it mean to you?
This week I want to get away from the 'fluff' and dig a little deeper. I want you to scrap a person who makes you totally & completely happy. You can be having the worst day yet talking with this person (or people) brings a smile to your face. Maybe you butt heads every now and again but you know that no matter what, you can count on this person to bring you joy & comfort when needed. You'll know you've chosen the right person to scrap if you smile & get the warm fuzzies while you think of them!
On your layouts this week, make sure you use the following:
- a photo of the person you are scrapping
- a quote pertaining to the topic of happiness / being happy
- a butterfly (patch, felt, stamp, brush, etc)
Here are some quotes in case you need help getting started:
"To fill the hour -- that is happiness." - Ralp Waldo Emerson
"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." - Marcel Proust
"Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open." - John Barrymore
"The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for." - Allan K. Chalmers
Try Googling "happiness quotes" for more choices!
And now for some eye candy!
