Hey my scrapping peeps! It's Gina, bringing you Hodge Podge Challenge #3 (3 already?) I'm sure my amigo Traci is out shopping for new Lucky's to make her tushie look mighty fine...

First, a big thank you for your participation regarding our Blog!! And a congratulations to the winner of challenge #2, mamamenz!

So as the title states, this week I want you to GET CENTERED! What does that mean? It's simple. I want you to stay towards the middle of your page and I don't want to see anything hanging off the edges! Remember these guidelines as you're scrapping:

• keep your photo(s) towards the MIDDLE of your paper. No hanging off the edges!
• I want to see them TRIMMED or framed or somehow bordered; either with doodled egdes, paint, buttons, etc.
• lets see some FLOWERS on there as well!
• aside from maybe some paint or stitching I want you to STAY AWAY from the edge of your paper!

It's Elemental!

Hey hodge podgers!  Traci here with the second challenge, working from my favorite space on the couch as my partner Gina trains for the New York marathon...lol!

I was so stoked seeing all the fantastic layouts from you amazing ladies last week and can't wait to see what you come up with for week 2!  At the end of the week, I'll draw a name for a $5 gift card to my store at Funky Playground Designs.

First things first, let's congratulate the winner of our very first Hodge Podge challenge... JESS!  Everyone's pages were amazing and this was a very HARD decision. Congrats Jess!

Now for the inspiration!  This week it's all about the elements.  Just elements.  Okay, I'll let you use a picture and ONE piece of paper.  But just one.  You can do it - stretch yourself.  Open up the big organized folders of elements you have (you're laughing with me right?) and fill this layout with elements.  Oh, and one more "rule" - you have to use 3 elements you've yet to use but already have in your stash!

So let's do a quick review:

LETS GET HODGE-PODGING!

Hey guys! It's Gina  here with the very *first* Hodge Podge inspiration!!! My partner-in-crime Traci is probably getting her beauty rest... ah the life...

Anyway, what is this Blog even about you ask?? INSPIRATION. That's it. It's not fancy, it's not difficult to follow, you don't need to track points or marathon scrap or anything like that. One challenge per week (every Tuesday), loose guidelines to follow, play along if you like... that's IT! We chose "hodge podge" as our main title because it makes us think of an "anything-goes" kind of layout and since that's how we scrap, we want YOU to start scrapping like that too! Just have fun... no rules... HODGE PODGE!

If you want to play along, yay - please do!! We even have a nifty little blinkie for you over on the left: right-click and save the GIF to your computer. Shout from the rooftops that you're a Hodge Podge Scrapper!

We also have some Hodge Podge Artist blinkies floating around. Or rather, Traci and I use those because well, this gig had to come with some perks you know... *wink*  But check out the "guest artist" blinkies adorning people's siggies here and there.... Instead of having a core team of scrappers, Traci and I will be inviting a few amazing ladies here and there to join us for the week. The more eye candy on this Blog, the better... right?!

Ok, I really should tell you what the challenge is huh? Man I can talk.....

CHALLENGE #1: For this first challenge, I want us to get messy! When I think of the words "hodge podge", I think of messy, sloppy, goopy paint, lots of color... kind of like an "anything goes".  So I challenge all of YOU to get messy!  For this first challenge,

• scrap a layout using at least three PAINT colors.
• I want to see BUTTONS too!
• and throw a big ole TITLE on there as well.
