Lately I've been thinking about all of these cute / funny / sad / etc little moments that I want myself and the kids to remember yet, they haven't been scrapped. The kids and I frequently laugh over old stories from my childhood (like the time my Mom slipped on a green pea in the kitchen and fell into a split. They obviously weren't around for that one yet they LOVE to hear it!) but unless I write this down, these stories and small memories are going to stay stuck in my head forever. That frightens me. I really love to journal and I want to feel free to do that - regardless if I have the 'perfect' picture to go with the page or not.
So I want you to record a story... big or small. Something that you would love to have down on record but maybe you weren't going to scrap it because you didn't have a picture. Too bad! I am making you scrap that story anyway!
No rules. Just TELL the story through LOTS of journaling!!! Lets see how we can all dress-up a layout of JUST WORDS!
If you are stuck for ideas, I bet you are over-thinking this. I invited a whole bunch of talented scrappers to join me with this challenge and I think you are definitely going to feel those creative juices start to flow once you see how everyone approached this.
If you wanted to tell a FEW memories on your page, you could do that. (Might make it easier design-wise in case your memory isn't that long to begin with). If you Blog, why not cut & paste some of your own words for an instant layout? How about asking someone else to tell the story for you?
Scrapping with us this week are Lex, Melissa 1 & Melissa 2 (haha!), Shannon, Emily & Brandi. Welcome girls!

I found this challenge after reading an article in DSTInsider and decided to enter because this was the first no photo layout I've ever done... and I did it a couple weeks ago without knowing about this challenge.

It was really hard to find inspiration for this one. Scrapping without photos is sooo 'Out of the Box' for me! But then I remembered our little girl's birthday, just a few weeks ago, and that occasion was perfect for a pictureless LO: http://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=75664&cat=500&ppuser=3448
Thanks very much for this challenge!

Nicely done! I just "tweeted" this challenge out to my Book of Me followers.

I love this challenge mostly because I like doing layouts every now and again that have no pictures. Sometimes without many words too. I'm going to plop down and do one specifically for this challenge tonight, but just wanted to show some samples of why I love this challenge so much! Linked you all up from my blog. can't believe I'm just finding this place.

This challenge gave me the oportunity to put down in words and be honest with myself...
My hubby and I had a pretty crap year last year... with him being laid off, temp jobs... and then the whammy of wondering if we really were meant to be together... we are and life is looking so much brighter now...
http://www.myscrapbookart.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=125084&cat=500
and that is my take on the challenge...

I'm a little late on the challenge but wanted to play along anyway!!! I actually started this last Weds. evening after returning from the hospital but with my Dad's condition being bad for several days, I wasn't able to finish it in time.
